Off to Ireland!

SO i finally made a decision today, and Ireland has won... (well Northern Ireland if we're being particular!)
it was the 5 pound (including taxes) between Belfast and Liverpool flights that sold the idea, if only ryan air had frequent flyer miles...

I've been to Belfast once, last march over the st pats festivities, and it was an interesting city with all it's controvery and problems over the last 10 years... not a place i ever thought i'd be working... but hey it's going to be an experience... not to mention another crazy lot of accents to try and understand...

still waiting to hear back about the actual details, but it looks like pretty basic hospital grade accomodation for me again, so got to make the most of this last week here in a comfortable bed, clean showers, and room to spin a cat!

also today i had a break through with my mum...

we actually had a conversation, be it only 10sec... but she spoke to me...

i was rabbiting on (as i do) about all the job offers etc and she as per usual was saying nothing just watching tv, and then i said, i did tell you i was heading back before i got here...

and her response...

i thought you'd get here and see how good it was and stay

not what you'd call an indepth discussion... but it's something i guess...

does she not feel the uncomfortableness that has decended on the house, as if everyones walking on eggshells waiting for one to crack...

i cant think of anywhere i'd prefer to be less...


Anyways off to watch the 20/20 match...

UPDATE:

I sent off an email to the other agencies to say i'd taken a position and i just got a message from one of them asking me if they were to get me a higher rate of pay at the same job, would i take it...
they're fighting over me...
i wonder how much they get off a locum, must be a substantial amount if they're willing to fight over me...

really bizarre

In the last 5 mins i've had another 5 job offers.... it's insane...

note to people considering agency work... join 1 or 2, don't belong to anymore it just gets out of control

So far i've got:
2 different offers in Northern Ireland
Inverness, scotland
Newcastle, uk
Isle of man (free flights and first month accomodation...)
Derbyshire

i feel wanted! and they're all to start the same day... hahaha

i suppose no one really goes to the uk in winter, so there's a shortage, but boy are they coming at me.. and here i was thinking it'd be hard to get a job this time of year...
