Up fairly early today as it was time to start heading back...
First stop was at Lake lousie,
which was almost completely frozen over, so you couldn't see the glorious turquoise coloured water, the paths were covered in snow though so more snowballs!
The road to Morraine Lake was closed and the others didn't want to risk driving up it.. wimps!
it would have been nice to see it with all the mountains all covered in snow, it was my favourite lake last time..
continued on found some bighorn sheep, crossing the road, and some rather mangy looking female sheep on the side of the road..
no one was game enough to get out on the highway to take closer pictures!
Stopped in Vernon for the night, and stayed at a motel,
Ended up going 5 pin bowling that evening.
It was amusing, did well the first game, then was doing horribly the second until i had a run of 2 strikes and doubled my score!
You could knock over one pin, and none of the others would be touched,.. still no idea how i got 2 strikes in a row though.
14th may
Homewards from Vernon, and another day of driving...
couple of quick pee stops along the way, stoped in Prince george to see their grandmother, who cried when we left... cute, and so sad at the same time
before stopping in manning to admire and illegally feed the squirrels...
they were so cute, and fluffy and I wanted to pick one up and put him in my bag!
50 cent bag of nuts = much amusement
Onwards to Vancouver, where we emptied the van and put everything into Trish's bosses car before taking the hire van back... bye bye van
then it was time to drop Mary off at her house
and then back to civilisation
15th May
Up lateish, and just messed around, watching some interesting shows on Tv, before having one last lunch at Boston Pizza, and then Trish, Bev, and Aileen dropped me at the airport for my flight home... :O(
Got one last look at the Rockies as I flew over them on my way through to Calgary
