As i sit here in my box of a room on my own, i'm actually glad i'm inside as apposed to being outside...
there was the option to head down to the local pub tonight but considering it's bucketing down outside, i think i'll happily stay here for the evening, and have a relaxing one watching house!
this week has brought about a dramatic change in the weather, it's gone from being cold but pleasant, to nippy and extremely unpleasant...
there's this bone chilling wind that has been swirling around outside, howling and rattling the windows and doors.
and the rain, one minute it's almost sunny, the next it's pouring down like there's no tomorrow...
hitting you when you least expect it..
needless to say this week i've spent many an hour drying off...
dusted off the gloves, and thermals, and have been seen to be huddling in bed with thermals, under my pjs, and in my sleeping bag, and still feeling cold!
i think winters a coming.
i've worked out the hospital heating system...
for some insane reason they turn it off in the accomodation at the coldest times...
like 130am-7am, so it's no wonder the room gets icey cold.
my argo's sleeping bag for a bargin of 6 quid way back in may is the best buy yet.
though last weekend they were saying it was going to snow... so still have my fingers crossed, though i should put a bet on that it will snow for xmas...
As usual with a change in the weather the hospital has been hit with a flood of people with all sorts of chesty problems..
many body fluids have been excreted in the scanning rooms this week, much to my disgust.
from the vomitting/diarreoha, to blood, and other unidentifiable secretions... it hasn't been a pleasant experience..
there was this guy yesterday that had me dry retching while trying to get him off the scanner... nasty...
been a bit of as miserable git myself too, coming down with an almost sore throat... it wasn't extremely painful it was just that icky feeling of something sinister waiting to get you if you know what i mean.. but thankfully it seems to have passed, though have lost my sense of taste for the time being... so have been sharing the germs with everyone i meet...
finally sorted out the pay, so got a bit of a bonus this week with all the pay they seems to not have paid me... this agency continually gives me grief when it comes to pay... i don't think there has been a time where everthing has gone according to plan... they seem to like not paying me...
interesting.
got one more week of work here and my work here is done...
i think most people will be excited to see me go!
nah they love me sometimes!
in 2 weeks i'll be back in oz... how freaky is that...
have finally got my act together and booked most of my nz trip, my cousin is definitely coming with me, will i'm sure will be an amusing adventure, considering we've talked more this year than in the last 10yrs, and many of you guys know way more about me than she does...
have got 3 weeks in NZ, arriving on the 2nd jan, and flying back out on the 26th... (decided i had to be in australia to celebrate australia day!)
i'm not going to get a chance to visit all the places i want to, but should get to most, it's going to be fun.. i'm so much more a fan of the scenery than the cities... it'll be nice to get out and see some of the only heard about scenery...
after much research, have decided to go with the magic bus, it wasn't my first choice, but it's the only one that went to most of the places i wanted to when i wanted too, because with my cousin coming i had to vary the itinery... but from what i've read and from amandas experience it'll be good, and a laugh.
going to have to re watch the lord of the rings and narnia before i head over! :O)
now just need to plan my random road trip down to melbourne and my trip is complete..
we were chatting at work the other day about where i called home...
and you know all year i've just called where ever i am "home", it's just been where i am...
whether it be scotland, preston, a hostel in europe... but it's been home...
it's like i have two homes now, as i get closer and closer to heading back for xmas... i'm confusing myself as to where i call home now!
it's going to be interesting arriving home, so much will have changed and yet so much will just be the same..
i'm definitely not the same person i was when i left, and i'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing at the moment... I'll let you know.
i'm definitely way more cynical these days...
and i think interacting with my parents is going to be bizarre to say the least
most people miss their family the most when they travel... i haven't missed mine at all, and i feel guitly for not missing them...
it's wrong i know but what can you do..
i'm afraid i'll just blurt out what i'm thinking and cause massive fights again, as per usual..
good times to be had for sure!

Weather has been bad, I hope it does snow for christmas atleast in Sweden !:D
We turn our heating off at midnight until 5pm, because we're so snuggly in bed we don't need to heat the whole room.
I can't wait to travel around NZ one day, no idea when that day will be, probably when we're too old for mini bus tour things and hostels??
Well you don't need to get in fights with your relatives.. you can just kinda be at peace, tranquil, world traveler type, who doesn't let the little things bother her. ahHAHhAHHAHAA
Anyways did you see my red hair?
