First stop of the morning was in Jerez, at Jerez de la Frontera.
Which became famous throughout the world for it’s sweet wines named after the town, which we know as “Sherry’.
We stopped to take a tour of the Tio Pepe-Gonzalez Byass factory for about 2 hours, where we were given plenty of sherry to sample..
Cant say that it’s a favourite of mine, only T seemed to enjoy it, we left her at the tables as she was drinking all the leftovers and headed to the shop.
A lunch stop by the side of the road where we ate fresh peccadillo’s freshly made from the bakery in town, with Renee calling out names and handing them out.. It felt much like a school camp. but they were great bocadillo's.
Back on the bus and over the border into Portugal.
Our 3rd country in just 2 days!
Here we were rationed off into little pensions about the city.
Here like in Croatia, families rent out their rooms. I was with Tye, T and Erin and we set of following our nanna up up up and out of town.
our room consisted of 4 beds crammed into the space for 2...
It’s was nice and cosy.
Tye was the thorn amongst the roses, being the only guy in our room. Surrounded by us girls!
Not that he minded at all.
Lazed around before heading down to meet the group at the spaceman for our walking tour.
Had dinner at Pinocchio’s and had gilt fish (a golden bream) which was delicious and so fresh… not so impressed that it came out whole… but you get that.
Headed up to this bar called Joe's Garage where cocktails were served in buckets not jugs, and only 7.50 a bucket, bargain!
Toxic I tell you!
A bit of cross dressing occurred with the birthday duo, and a bit of a hairstyle change for Carrolyn, lead to a spot of table dancing…
Moved on at midnight to Inside out, carrying on with the cocktail theme, we had huge cocktails served in goldfish bowls…
I’m talking at least 1 L of vodka, I know cause I had to hold the bottle while they added other things…
They came with awesomely (is that a word!?!) long straws that were about a metre long, they were rather toxic.
Not really sure what went on after that… it's all a bit of a blurr...
