well it's a little weird actually having to go to work tomorrow no public holiday for us over here..
but i'm going to bring a little australianisms into the household and my flatmates and i are going to cook ANZAC cookies tomorrow night! yum!
not much happening on this side of the world... working hard... well pretending to, getting into trouble whenever possible is a given!
and looking forward to heading off out of the country in a week! yay!
have to say since being here my eating habits are just odd... there are days where i don't eat anything, and days where all i find myself doing is eating..
Dinner is one meal that comes and goes.. for my whole life i've always been a breakfast person, and lunch... i'd prefer to have a late lunch and no dinner...
and at time over here with the sun setting at 930pm these days... i find myself losing track of the time, and thinking at 9pm that maybe i should have some dinner, and just having something light..
or eating snacks when i get home and really not feeling like having dinner at all..
so the last week i've been trying to cook myself a nice healthy dinner almost as soon as i get in, and trying to limit my snacking...
*though i've found the best icecream ever... banoffee pie, and a tub of lemon meriange? omg delicious.... mmmm and 50pence... mmmm so my treat has been a scoop in a cone... yum!
been doing lots of walking too, it's true when they say the best way to explore a new city is by foot... you find so many little things to look at that you'd never see just driving past...
i love walking up my street to the bus stop... there's this one section that you look down and all the trees are full of blossoms, all pink and pretty, and no ones up and about in the morning when i go past, and all the cars underneath are covered in them too, it's so peaceful and pretty.. and untouched... then you walk along a little more, and there's this lovely block of red brick flats, with these lovely trees, ewith new bright lime green leaves... it just looks amazing, and every morning it makes me stop an stare...
i'll have to take my camera one day and take a few pictures... (i'll leave a few mins earlier)
it seems so out of place, being in the middle of the concret jungle which defines glasgow...
but a refreshing change...
work is getting on my nerves... but oh well that is life...
thinking of heading to check out the real harry potter bridge and train this weekend, if the weathers nice... meant to be 18-20 degrees yay!
