Plans for last night were forever changing till about 4pm when we decided to head into the city,
it ended up being just Tash, Shell, Alice, and myself, the others bailed once we settled on the city..
there was a plan to head into the actual city, but after the 9pm fireworks, we realised there was an awesome view of the fireworks from the balcony, and with plenty of alcohol to tide us through the night we didn't get any further than the house...
got started into Shells home made Baileys, which ended up being delicious, which we were all surprised (she's not the best cook! :O)
before moving on to Champers, and vodka cocktails... i don't think i'll ever learn not to mix drinks... but at least i know when to stop..
Cooked a BBQ for dinner, before getting into the sparklers, and playing the simposons version of monopoly and cheated out way to various victories, before giving up and naming shell the winner, despite her being the banker and us seeing her steal!
played a bit of spicks and specks, before hightailing it to the balcony to welcome in the new year with champagne, party poppers, and lots more sparklers
it ended up being a fun night, and it was really good to spend some quality time with my two best friends, we haven't done that nearly enough lately
the pictures don't do the fireworks justice at all, they were going off all around us

Sounds like a wonderful time for new years eve, I think I'm up for doing something simple every year now if I can, board games and a few drinks :).
