and i bet that doesn't surprise a lot of you...
call me last minute ali..
theres so much that i need to do, and yet i've been ignoring it all
todays my last day in the wonderful city of glasgow..
and what better way for a send off then the amazing weather the seems to be around... i'm amazed to say it looks like it's going to be a bright and sunny day for a change... (i still believe they're going to have some fantastic weather when i'm away and the rain will return when i do!)
though looking at the weather reports for europe are looking promising, with 30 degree+ days... i'll probably melt! so not used to warmth!
cant wait..
yesterday was fun on many levels...
firstly i was late once again! missed the bus by a measly 10sec... it was just at the bottom of the road when i got to it... and i did run after it! but no such luck!
then i spent the whole day smiling and laughing that i was finishing...
i got told to shut up many times!
work was crazy busy, not helped by the fact that the boss left for a meeting and wasn't meant to return so we'd got into the grog at lunch, and continued that on! lol only to have her come back 10mins before we were meant to finish, and catch us!
hahaha
they put on a great spread for afternoon tea which i really wasn't expecting (considering it was only 2 weeks ago that they did a massive one for my birthday!)... and i got this awesome scotty dog mug, dressed in a kilt and wearing a shirt saying i saw nessie (cause i did!)
and lots of euros to spend on my travels... which almost had me in tears...
lol (remembering i was getting slighly tipsy by this point!)
it was a nice end to an era... i'll keep in touch with a whole heap of them... and no doubt see most of them again...
lol the funny part came when the boss came back, her goodbye was "we've already replaced you, another aussie, she starts tomorrow" and walked away! hahaha
feel so loved!
spent the night with the boy.. yet to have a talk about whats going to happen.. was going to in my drunken state but yeah that didn't eventuate!
looks like my friends sorted a lot of her things out that were stolen, though taking a dent out of her savings for the trip...
my first reaction last night was to laugh, thinking she'd made it up, but then i talked to her, and she was freaking out... poor thing...
but fingers crossed everything gets back to her in time..
headed out into the city today with my flatmates for lunch in princes square, which was delicious, and we were going to go try see a movie, but nothing appealed to clair and i so we left ren who ended up seeing 2 movies! (lol)
and headed back... got an iced chocolate at starbucks, and it seems iced chocolates are not the go over here, they were all confused... even though it was on their sign... ended up with a glass of chocolate milk... interesting!
now just waiting for the boy to arrive and we're off to do something exciting he reckons..
i still have to work out when i'm going to pack...
though i did manage to mail off a whole heap of stuff to home so that i no longer have to lug it all around... yay!
