Had to laugh when I read about the Weird ritual of the burning goat in a small town of Sweden.
With just 10 of the goats surviving beyond Christmas since 1966.. you'd think they'd come to expect it.
Reminds me of the two rowers they put near the regatta centre in Penrith for the 2000 Olympics. The local paper was always reporting that someone had been by and vandalised them…
Once they had their heads chopped off, another time their oars removed, then burnt to the ground..
Or the John Deer shop that had this lovely stone deer out the front.
Yet every few weeks someone would climb the 3m high fences and make off with the antlers!
Amusing, but annoying…
