sorry been a bit absent mindeded lately...

thanks for all your birthday wishes for the other day... i ended up having an awesome birthday, with mixed feelings...

personally i hate celebrating my own birthday... i think it's cause i hate being the center of attention.... i'm odd remember...
happy to celebrate anyones but my own...

though this year was a little different...
i didn't mind celebrating it...

had a few emotional moments that were interesting and brought on by excessive amounts of alcohol... lol

as much as i don't get along with my parents i really felt for them this weekend, with it being mothers day and all... and litereally having no kids to celebrate with...
i cant even begin to understand how they're feeling...
it's been almost 9 months now... and it's something that just hangs in the air like mist, coming on at the stangest times..

and i feel i'm living my almost "new" life over here and they're kind of stuck in that old life...

though on a funny note... they rang with birthday wishes, and then said by the way... you know your bedroom.... it's not going to be there when you get back!

seems they're trying to get the house passed by council and since it's on the river the bottom storey is deemed floodible...
and my bedroom is in that area... so in order for it to be passed, it has to be inhabitable...
so goodbye bedroom...

it kind of bothers me...(i think more in the way that they have to go through all my stuff and move it all... lol trying to think what incriminating evidence i left there!) but at the same time, i knew when i moved out that i wouldn't be heading back there to live... maybe a few days here and there... but it's not home anymore...

anyways back to the birthday celebrations,

pretty much spent the weekend in an alcoholic daze thanks to a few people that decided that it was their job to continually pour drinks... had a lovely italian lunch somewhere in scotland! (hahah have no idea where exactly i was...) weather was appalling, hence we just decided to go from pub to pub...

got my lovely delivery of balloons, and bear... followed by this tropical fruit basket... that i have no idea what the fruits are (except for the pineapple, banana's and passion fruits...) lol lucky they thought of that.... and the basket comes with instructions on how to eat the various fruits...
though still slightly confused! they needed to include pictures too!

seems there still a few cards to go... that may have gone missing somewhere in the postal world...
so maybe one day they'll turn up!

had a funny encounter at work on monday...

one of the ladies had just returned from a trip from NZ... anyways she brought back lollies etc, and a packet of snicker pods...

and everyone was getting really excited about them, and mulling over them for ages, and i walk in and go... uuuuummmmmmmmmm they're just pods!...

took me a good few seconds to realise i'm not in kansas anymore! lol and they don't have them over here!

oops...

though i think they actually sell tim-tams over here in one of the supermarket chains...

and i've got my vegimite... (nothing beats vegimite on toast!)


as for the whole work situation... i've decided to save hard for the next 2-3 weeks, and then piss off...
one of the girls that was on my ireland tour, is planning on travling through europe from the 2nd june, and i'm seriously considering joining her there!
and then go traveling till i run out of money and need to work again...

any suggestions of where i should go?
