My last week of adventures in this lovely place got off to a great start this morning..
all was going well until 10am when all of a sudden the firealarms went off...
we all stood around for a few minutes debating whether or not it was a practice run or not... as you do!
before decideing that hey it's not stopping maybe we should evacuate..
so patients were rounded up and lead out the fire exits...
it was like a group of headless chickens had been let lose in the department, people running about the place with no idea what to do..
we just needed someone with a video, "what not to do in an emergency"
one lot we took out the back exit, and found out after we'd gone down a few flights of stairs the gates at the bottom of the fire stairs were locked!
helpful yes!
so we kind of had them standing in the doorway... not sure what to do with them...
the poor patients, half were only half dressed in hospital gowns! and there we had them standing semi naked in the cold...
so back up the stairs we went, and back though the department through the high pitched alarms...and into the main corridor where everyone else was waiting..
the firebrigade took their time arriving, and sauntered in about 15mins later, all old... we need the young hot Belfast ones...
and spent the next 45mins trying to work out which firealarm had gone off...
eventually they decided that a ceiling light had burnt out and they "thought" it could be what had set it off, so they let us back in...
the poor reception desk was flooded with patients, quickly followed by xray requests... it ended up being quite a busy morning..
worked half the day with the hilarious irish chap, who i'm totally in love with... what is it with the irish and their charm!?! or could it just be the accent!?! its wrong i'm totally besotted with him... too bad he's taken...

I think i've finally worked out my asian flatmate...
i think she's doing something sneaky...
she's either moved out, or moved in 3 new people into her room....
I'm leaing towards the room sharing idea... it makes sense, and with her working shift work and all..
1. she cooks enough food for 4 people... yet it vanishes quickly
2. she always seems to be in her room, 24/7... doesn't she work?
3. i keep seeing different people come out of her room... at all hours...
4. there are always many shoes lined up outside..
it's confusing. i'm going to have to keep tabs..
